even if they come 'pre-gapped' I always check my spark plug gap. it takes so little time there's no reason not to.

    Re: WooHoo spark plugs

I believe they come gapped at 0.024" in the box but, you should check to be sure.

Just be sure to use a feeler gauge rather than one of those lousy coin style gaping tools.

They are pre-gapped. You shouldn't have to mess with them. I just put mine straight in, and absolutely no problems.

What makes them better than a simple NGK BKR7E that are $2.39 each?

I was just about to buy the NGK's. I can't see why this would be worth over 4x the cost.

well these are recommended in mainly stage 3s due to they are colder than stock and the motors run so hot with K04s pushing the boost levels the push. so unless you have k04s you dont REALLY need them. they are also a platinum plug, which is why they are more.

For a simple chipped (stg I) car, would I be fine with the NGK's? These are 1 step colder than stock.

you would be perfect with those plugs. some stage 3s who refuse to pay for those plugs still run those and are fine haha. go for it

Exactly have you looked at it? How would you even gap it closer if you wanted? Lol.

Fwiw the NGK BKRE 7 e 11 , copper suckers I think, actually fire marginally better than the platinums. I used to run platinums.

You have to change the NKG Bkr7e every 3-4 thousand miles vs 20-30K with the sidefire

    Re: WooHoo spark plugs

well i got em in, i fired up the car came back out side 15 minutes later and noticed a huge improvement in idle it seems like my misfire is gone! i wont know for sure untill later this week when i can drive it, but i just remembered how much i dont like working on this car, it seems like everytime i do something to it, it loses another plastics cover cuz i dont want to put it back on, they are all gone from under the hood!

    Re: WooHoo spark plugs

Would be there any sort of an issue using a plug that is a step colder on a stock car? The reason I ask is because the BKR6E and BKR7E are the same price, so if there is any sort of an advantage to the 7E I can just go for that. Thanks in advance.
