    Ummmm?

Does anyone post in this section? I was looking to sell my a4 and buy a TT225! I cant even research their problems like i can in the b5 a4 forums.

Well anyways i have a couple questions if anyone comes in here:
    225, or vr6.

    Black or white?

I was reading a little on wiki.com about the haldex diff that the TT's have, if i understood correctly its like driving a FWD car untill you need all 4 wheels? How is the traction on a turn with the haldex in the rain? Better worse? Snow?

I haven't really looked into TT's that much yet, but i really think i want the black one with the red interior or the white with the red, i just cant decide which one looks better, first thing ill do to it will be wheels suspension and some other little things.

Show me black and white pictures of tt's!!!

Black or White- that's your call, not ours.

Have you visited the TT Forum at AW?. We're more technical over there than here. Social forum for the most part here. Lots of FAQs over there.

Black w/ red and White w/ red are rare. Search hard. The FAQs on AW will alos list the options/colors.

225 or VR6? You're in luck: they came in only one other option- 180 FWD.

Haldex is part-time until you cause the sensor to activate the rears. Pretty efficient, and you can get the sport HAldex for different bias.

    Research the AW FAQs.

    Ahhhh thank you :)

As you can see i need that FAQ for all my stupid questions. From a modding standpoint though, 225 or VR6? And i'm in no rush to find the black with red interior!

    Re: Ummmm?

When it comes between the 225 vs. the VR6 I find that it boils down to personal preference. I purchased the 225 model with APR tunned ECU, which is supposed to put out about 263hp on 93oct gas. You can add an other 2k in exhaust, front mount IC, and hoses an such, but still be shy of 300hp. What I've realized now, is that I wanted that VR6 with a base HP of 250, super charge it, full exhaust, and enjoy the complete power of the VR6 engine with mind you, a dead sexy exhaust note to boot. I say "so what" if the 225 already has a turbo (a small one) if you want real gains from either engine you have to go big, and with that, you still need to spend the same 5K for a decent kit. Just ask yourself the question; if I'm going to spend 5k on boost, would I rather have it on a 4, or a 6 cyc?

    Re: Ummmm?

There are no stoopid questions. Just the one not asked. DO read your manual when you get it. DO ensure the timing belt and water pump are changed at 70K (or else).

I've driven a pretty trick 180 (230 on MTM) for near 6 years and love it. I've driven tricked out 225 adn 3.2, and the weight of the 3.2 is a penalty for the way I drive. It has a bit too much polar moment out front, so I prefer the 225.

But I love an HPA 3.2: if you're willing to dump a lot into the suspension, it can be like a 911SC without the bad habits!

    Re: Ummmm?

Yeah i know all about the TB and water pump, i own a a4 quattro right now. I love the style of the TT looks just like the 350z but with AWD. The only thing that i am worried about is the diff's. Torson to the one the TT uses(like the 4motion and r32)

If i read correctly it is mostly fwd and then when needed it turns into the AWD system. Mostly Electronicly dispersed. So really want to go test drive a TT in the rain one day and see how it handles compared to my a4.

    Re: Ummmm?

225 if you want to actually compete with other roadsters.....go vr6 for its more linear power and dsg......the car is basically set up with 70% power to the front wheels so yes it drives more like front wheel drive.
