no offense, but unless you have 20 grand to spend or wait til the single turbo kit is out, you most likely won't make 600 at the wheels

You said it's going to be a everyday DD for about a year, so, you probably shouldn't start building your motor until you get another car...because it'll probably take you about a year depending on who does it and what you're doing, these things don't happen over night, and VERY lucky if it takes you only a month or two.

And if you are going to go with GTs I think you should build your motor while you're doing that, why not, you have high miles on the car who knows how much it can take until something goes, and the motor will be out anyway. Can't compare KO4/RS6 hybrids to GT's btw, especially since you want ~600

As for the heads the 2.8 is from the RS4, some people prefer to stick with the 2.7 heads.

I haven't heard of any proven strokers yet for the 2.7 yet.

there's strokers for it.. 3.0L is common

well considering ASP's GT28 kit is $15,000 without a built motor, I'd say it'll add up to a pretty expensive tab.

yea buying a kit is that expensive but y cant you piece one together
i put one together for around 6000 that has gt2871r

not building the motor, just the turbos, fueling, manifolds, intercooler was from ebay, and some parts were used

you won't get 600 wheel without building the motor (at least rods) or the valvetrain. 2871R's get into the sweet spot right as we redline. need to be able to rev higher to get 600whp on 28s
