first post- avant in snow

well i've had my avant for a couple of months now and have been meaning to post a photo. just went up for a back country ski today- drove into the campground at around 8000' quattro all the way.

careful back there.... interesting base we have so far..
mid season, we have high potential to have a rotting base....
i'm hoping we get a few smaller/heavier storms before it really starts dumping.

indeed, there was a thick (1") ice layer upon which the 4-6 inches of new was sitting. it actually bonded pretty well but any more would result in some serious avalanche potential. Skiing was excellent though :-)
