All Red tails?

i just got this picture off another thread, i always loved how the all red tails look, but what about reversing? do they just light up pink? no reverse lights at all?

yeah probably light up pink... even a white bulb shining through the red lens would give off a pinkish red light

i think im gonna do it anyway. use red tint film so if i don't like it or get pulled over for it i'll just rip them off.....

I spot a black B5 in that picture as well. Also I thought I saw a thread before were someone had done this to a darker car. Can't find anything on it though.

shes mine, and reversing is kind of a PITA now because the reverse is just a dull pink color. if i'm in a real dark place i need to throw on the rear fogs for extra light. but for me it looks too cool to worry about reversing

thanks dude, i talked to empire gfx last week about making a film that we could use on post facelift tails. they said they are looking into making sets available because they only have sets for the 98 tails right now. that would be a better option than painting with glass paint because i have to touch up my tails every few months due to the elements

ha he used my tails for the 98's! hes local to me good guy, his name is joe, he also sells dubway and car specific down-n-out stickers as well as some other cool stickers.

I know! I know! tint them all red and then wire in the reverse light to the break light and rear fogs so you have triple to stopping power!

I think the reverse light strip is sexy as hell! I couldnt delete that out, thats why i spent the money on facelift tails ha.

I doubt you'd get pulled over for red reverse lamps.

Here in the UK / Europe, reverse lamps are not a legal requirement. They're also the only rear lamps in Britain not subject to test during the annual MOT.

You can do this by tinting clear coat with red. It will create a transparent red coat. I personally like the look.

I did that on my Camaro. at Least until I retrofitted a set of 9005 bulbs in my reverse lights. I had plenty of light then.

EDIT: If I had the '96-early '98 lights I'd do that mod in a heartbeat. I have the '98.5-99 lights though.

I taped off and sprayed the yellow blinker lenses black with nightshade.

Sort of different. My tails are red/black/white with no pink reverse.
