    Wheel Offset Question

I'll plead ignorance here. Does a wheel with a 30mm backspace sit further out towards the fender lip than a wheel with a 35mm backspace? What do the B6/B7 cars call for so that there isn't rubbing when lowered?

I lowered my Avant this week and I want to go to 19" inch wheels on it, but I want to make sure that I don't run into clearance problems.

You are correct and a +35MM on 19X8.5" wheel will be perfect for you with a very aggressive stance

    Re: Wheel Offset Question

Depending on the tire size you go with either ET35 or ET38 will be good.
    I had ET35 on my 19"s with 245/35 and a drop and I rubbed a little.
I'm sure with 235/40, there will be no rubbing.
I switched to a ET38, same tire size and it was perfect.
