carbon fiber trim intall running into some probs

hey guys,

I got the piece that goes on the front ashtray in front of the shifter. Any tips or directions hopefully with pictures on how to install the trim piece? Thanks

if you're not trying to remove the entire ashtray, you can just "slide" the trim off, push it towards the shifter, a little awkward while the ashtray is in the car, but possible

to remove the entire ashtray yes, but to just remove the lid you dont

I removed the two 8mm bolts that hold the whole ashtray in to be able to slide whole thing out, and got stuck at that point. It didnt look like i would be able to just slide it off, but ill give it a shot. Thanks guys

dont remove the ashtray... just open it, and grip the top firmly and pull the top piece towards you. firmly but with caution....
