Question Just got the timing belt service done, few questions..

I just had the whole timing belt job done @ 83,000 miles. I just wanted to get it done for piece of mind. They did everything: belt, water pump, tensioner, belt damper, thermostat, and serpentine belt. My question is, I am wondering if I got a metal pump or not. Here is the part #:06a-121-012-x.

    Thanks

I did some searching, and I believe its metal. Its the same part number as this one on pureMS minus the 'x' at the end... http://www.purems.com/products/product.php/II=1126

Re: Just got the timing belt service done, few questions..

the oem part is plastic, so i don't really know why they would replace w/ a metal one unless it was a service bulletin or something of the sort.

yes when i did mine i replaced it with a metal one, but i think that was more of same company but technically aftermarket.

correct me if i'm wrong or sound stupid.
