What gas are you running your B5s on?

I´m curious what gas you are running your B5´s on?

I´ve tested my 1,8T on 95 octane, but it wasn´t so good, now I´m always running on 98!

93 octane in the US. Forget what that translates to in european numbers, but I think it's equal to your 98.

BP is what I prefer to use, and 93oct(US). I use Shell and Meijer 92/93oct other times.

disclaimer though is that my Uni 1+ tune is for 93 octane, so that's what I'm supposed to use. If it were stock I could use 91octane without an issue.

As for the USA vs RON used all over the country, it is a 4 octane difference. So 91 here is 95 and 93/94 is 97/98 over seas.

110 here in Canada, either VP or Torco... depends....

I mix with Shell 90 (Silver) to hit my 94 and 104 needs.

I have been told running the good stuff with 87 (our lowest octane) would yield best results... since the higher octane pump gas is typically the 87 with additives added. Not sure of that....

I try to fill up on US 100 octane when I can. It is only available from the pump at one gas station though, and it is a bit of a drive for me.....but worth it!

Holy fack talk about high oct....Damm up in bc here we have highest..94 oct. I use 90 and my cars fine. Ive tryed 91, 92, 94.....still all the same.. Maybe i should hop over to the usa and try some 100oct...

I fill up with mohawk gas which is using up to 10% Ethanol-blended fuel. I dont know if its good for the car or what but hell you get 90 Oct for the same price as 87 at other places so why not eh!

and i cant forget the best!!! its Better for the environment lol...cus thats what i care about most running with a hollowed out cat lol

It will run fine. The ECU will detect knock (they got knock sensors yakno) and retard timing to prevent damage. VOILA, you run fine, jut sless powerful.

I use a 50/50 mix of E85 en 95 octane :)

Works like a charm (feels like the car runs smoother) and it's a lot cheaper!

Pics of your ride anywhere? I saw a nice 2.8 on Arthur St., Friday afternoon. Aside from myself, I know there are 2 or 3 other guys on the forums, they're mostly on AW though.

LOL, be nice to the 2.8 owners. Pretty sure they dont have to run high octane unleaded in their cars. I mean I can see if it was supercharged.
