Do you have our VMR V708's? We never had a problem with B5 brakes fitting over our V708 wheels.

Our Onyx is a very cool finish. Its multi layered and gives off a 2 toned looking finish at different angles of light. We dont have any comparisons between a gloss black wheel but here's a comparison between a our HS wheel vs. our Onyx Black.

I actually had horrible wear problems with the 225 series tires you recommended. They were just too narrow for that rim IMO. Sounded like a Mack truck after 5K miles. Now that I have the proper fitting tires my car is quiet again but now they rub even at this height. I need to go in and see where and what I can do about it.

Thats strange... when was the last time you checked your alignment? Bad alignment from incorrect toe causes uneven tire wear. Its generally not how wide or skinny the tire is.

The wear was evenly on the inside and outside edge so in theory it could be toe (tires were properly inflated and no amount of pressure would push the center out). You could visibly see the tire was bowed from the side wall being pushed outward to seat against the rim. It was like as if the center of the tire was being pushed in because the outsides were being flexed out to seat against the wider rim.

I am watching these wear closely. I don't see the bowing of the tire with the larger size. If I start seeing some strange wear again I will go get the toe checked.

I would seriously recommend you get your alignment checked asap. I couldn't think of anything but the alignment being out of oem spec to give wear like that.

Approx. 25lbs for 18" and 27lbs for 19". Fairly light for a cast wheel vs. smaller oem wheels being the same weight.
