    Hit a deer, ecode question

Installed eCode Bixenon headlights a few weeks ago.

Hit a deer just South of Albany, NY on the Mass Pike. It was amazing how well the car handled in the snow with snow tires and Quattro. Going 55 in ths Snow, jammed on the brakes and swerved right, never lost control of the car. Cars behinds were spinning out everywhere.

I need new housings to swap the lights and ballasts into and was told that these would work.

I thought they would only work in a A4. Anyone know for sure or know of other options? Would prefer black but seems no one has them in stock or available.

Also have to replace the hood and looking to get a Boser if the cost is close to OEM.

    Thanks for the help.

Re: Hit a deer, ecode question

Sorry to hear about your mishap...
    Glad yer fine though.
Those new Ecodes appear to be NON-BiXenon's but they will indeed work.
They will work as long as that your okay w/o BiXenon.
BTW, it also appears that the price is NOT a cost for a set of light rather only one.

how did you damage your ballast? Also, those are not true valeo ecodes, they're made from helix :P.

off topic question. for bi-xenons, when you activate your highs, does the bulb lcated i nthe high beam reflector go off as well as the xenon projector flipping open?

I am trying to find real eCodes but not having any luck. The ballast does not seem to have any damage, the lights work fine, just the housings are broken. When I put on the high beams the high beams go on and I hear the xenon projector open.

    hood looks fine

It is cracked on the inside and bent in many places.

Has anyone actually used the set above? Another person said they would not work on an S4 but fine on an A4.
