So i have my stock 2000 S4 with 93k miles and i purchased 710n's, samco f-hose and TBB, and ARP chipped ECU. I was going to install them all when i discovered both my valve cover gaskets are leaking. Now i wont be getting them fixed until 2 weeks from now when i get my next paycheck. The thing is I really want to install all my new goodies.

I am basically asking will I be running a huge risk installing the mods with my engine in this condition?

    Re: Mod or wait

I'd do the valve cover gaskets (and check everything else over) and throw in everything but the ECU.

See how everything runs for a while, save some extra coin first to be safe, then get the ECU in there a bit later on.

As far as actual direct risk with the ECU vs. valve cover gaskets, shouldn't be much of a concern if any, but still prudent to get them done first.
