    Re: tint ticket

find a dirty cop, take off your tint, or pay $200 +/- fee in court.

I just paid a $203 tint ticket today

yeah i usually just pay it off. A lot easier that way. I use to only pay like $120 at the most i think.

Yep, otherwise if you remove it, it's only $10 to write off

    Re: tint ticket

I thought it was a fix it ticket? you fix it and dont have to pay? I paid a little extra for my tint but it came with a lifetime guarantee and if I ever get a ticket they take it off and put it back on after the court date and only charge me labor...

    Re: tint ticket

yes if you get a tint ticket you have a few options. Leave it on and just pay the whole fine. Take it off, have a cop sign for it and you only have to pay $10 instead of the whole $100 and something. Hint a fix it ticket. And your other option is to just take your tint off get it signed off, pay $10 dont put the tint back on and no more tint ticket worries.

    Re: tint ticket

OC- thats why its soo high! yeah better off paying it on time!! lol

Whats nice about getting a tint ticket(well its never nice) but during the time you get your ticket till the time its due, you cant get another tint ticket, so you can roll around all day with your windows up and they cant fine you for it again. It happend to me once when i had my celica, CHP pulled me over and tried to get me for it but i just showed her that i had already been cited for it and she said "get it fixed, have a nice day." so that was pretty cool. Still sucks to have to cough up the $$$ for the ticket though.

    Re: tint ticket

I bet it would cost almost as much to get it removed professionally as it would to just pay the ticket. If you got pulled over near your house, I would bet the cop would gun for you if you dont remove it. If you are away by 20 miles or more just pay it.

I believe it was something like $35-50 to remove and redo the tint. The tint ticket is roughly $100-150, depending on how many times you've gotten a ticket.

The real issue is how much is your time worth? $35-50 to remove and you'd save a good $50-100. But to go to the tint shop, wait, go to the court to get signed off, then go back to tint shop and wait again to redo it. Sorta sounds like a hassle. :(
