    RS4 peeps, where are you tapping off power for subs?....

    sure the battery is in the trunk, but I don't want to screw through the cable joints if there is a close tap off point.

    also for signal too, I was going to use the standard back shelf speaker drive,

    comments / recommendations?

    if you're talking about for an amp then the smart place to do it would be off the battery. If you choose any other wires in the trunk, any decent sized amp will start blowing fuses. Most subwoofer amplifiers draw around 50 amps. As for a signal wire, the only option you will have is to tap into the speaker wire. When you do this make sure you purchase a module from bestbuy or circuit city that changes speaker wires into a set of RCA outputs. that module make sure that the voltage is lowered to a level that you amplifier can handle. If you dont use one of these you will most likely start frying amps.
