    My Audi revs around 2500 to 3500 rpms when going downhill? is this normal? It's an automatic 1.8T. When im going down the hill my foot is lightly pressing the brakes because its like a 28% grade hill.

    yes, it does engine braking automatically.

    it will downshift to aid with braking.

    Also, as u gain speed ur revs will go up, because the gears in the tranny are spinning faster it is totally normal.
