DTM CF Spoiler for Non S-Line?

I see a lot of the carbon fiber DTM replica spoilers on S-Lines, but I was wondering how the fitment would be on my NON S-Line trunk. I was checking out eBay... Any advice? Experience? The seller said I would just need strong silicon.

hey i just saw this thread...the fitment would be off on the sides of the spoiler. it wouldnt match up correctly,w hich is why many guys who recently purchased this for the non-sline have sold theirs

I have it, and there's a lot of threads out there for it. While ECS markets it towards the NON S LINEs since the EURO A4 had a flat trunk lid, the spoiler actually fits better on S Lines. It will work on the Non S, but it takes a lot of time to get it to sit right.

Unfortunately there's a gap beneath the spoiler just above the rings about 7 inches wide x 1/2 inch (complete guesstimates on both those numbers btw). It's not noticeable unless you're looking for it. Additionally, while trying to set the middle of the spoiler, b/c of the angle of it, the ends of the spoiler kind of roll up like a new poster. I had my detail shop install mine, and they put an extra couple strips of 3M tape on the spoiler to hold it in place. I still might decide to take it off and sell it, not sure.

Cliff notes:

It will work for both, but it fits better on the S Line trunk. I'm not sure why ECS markets it to the non s lines to be honest with you. Says right on their site wont fit cars with integrated spoilers, which is incorrect.

Wow I just saw this thread, I just bought one for my non-sline. Dang looks like I maybe selling mine if this is the case.

It really depends on the spoiler. The DTM one pre 2007 should fit, but after that is doesnt. (we are talking OEM). And as for the ebay ones, its a crapshoot. good luck

*** BTW, I see that black line on my trunk, not sure what it is though. Definitely NOT a scratch. Maybe I owned myself in Paint.
