    18x8 with 30mm offset

I just purchased some wheels with a 30mm offset (18x8). I searched to see how well they will fit but I found nothing specific. I found one thread on a 18x8.5 with that offset and people said it would rub. I have stock suspension and I am in the process of buying coilovers.

My question is, will the wheels rub? (on stock & lowered height)

you'll be fine... depends on the tire you wanna run though and how low you wanna be if you will rub at all or not

well, i was thinking either a 215 or 225 for the tires. As for the height....nothing crazy. Maybe lower it 1.5"-2" from stock non-sport height.

I'm not sure I agree with you. et30 is too far.

I have 18x8 et32 and have rubbed the WHEEL on the fender in the rear, and rub my 225/40/18s now and then up front when turning and hitting bumps.

Those wheels are farther out than they should be and I think you will rub tires, if not wheels if you go too low. Coilovers are a great idea as you may have to play with the height to avoid rubbing...

i have 18 x 8.5 in the rear with et25mm and i can even bring it out more. It also depends on tire brand. Falken runs narrow and kumho, yokohama run wider.

just roll the liner.. you can put a much smaller offset wheel and much bigger tire and slam it and you will still be fine.

    Re: 18x8 with 30mm offset

IDK what your doing wrong king, but VTaudi if anything the front could possibly rub but prob wont on a 225 tire, the back shouldn't be an issue. I WAS running 18x8 at et32 with a 235/40 tire and didn't rub at all, and very very rare in the front, on H&R race springs. Right now I have a 7.5 at et18 in the rear which is 6mm FARTHER out than a 18x8 et30 and have zero rubbing issues with a 215 falken tire.

Im running 18x8.5 all the way around and I only rub in the front, and its only on large dips or when I turn the wheel all the way. But then again my car is pretty damn low.

Cool, thanks for all the help guys. I do appreciate it greatly. The only bad thing now is I have to way 5 months until spring arrives in VT to put my wheels on.
