Getting the upper steering column cover off

What size are the 2 screws holding it on to a 2001 car? It's def not size 8 and i'm gonna keep sticking thing in there until it grips or someone anwsers, whichever comes first.

yeah i thought i remembered the B5 as philips.

but i wasn't possitive as my B6 is torx. imagine the egg on my face when five minutes after turning the philips driver on my B6, nothing was happening.
