ok so my heat blows semi warm but not really. my engine temps are fine thought after about 5 min the temp is always straight up and never budges. when i felt the 2 hoses that are on the passenger side that go into the cabin through the firewall the top one was cold and the bottom one was freezing cold. any ideas im hoping its not the heater core.

I have the same issue, and have bought a new core.

    Pull that dash!

Not great to inhale, and definitely not good for your carpets, and your right foot, when it finally explodes.

And it will, if it's got a leak, believe me.

That does work if it's just clogged.

But if it has a leak - i.e a coolant smell in the cabin, it's possible it's corroded somewhere, unless the coolant smell is external, from under the hood.

If trying to clear debris from the core, the hose must be at domestic cold water pressure.

I know some folk have used a pressure hose off a washer to try doing the same, with explosive results.

alright thanks guys i will try and do the flush tommorrow and let you all know how it goes. so the cold side would be the hose on the bottom or the one on the top? and to flush i just drain out the coolant and then plug a hose to it and turn it on?
