A co-worker of mine has a 99 A4 that has been sitting in his driveway for almost a year now. He offered to sell it to me for $2000 if I can figure out a way to get the title (or some other method). He bought the car from his friend's (now) ex-girlfriend's aunt. He never ended up getting the title before they broke up (on bad terms). In a nutshell, they don't talk and can't get the title. We have no way of contacting the aunt to get the title. I would really like to buy this but am not sure what to do. Can someone point me in the right direction? Should I contact DMV? Any other ideas?
