I am interested in purchasing an HID kit but I am not sure which one to buy. Just wondering if anyone is running a kit that is under $100 and is plug and play. Also what bulb size does my b6 have? Appreciate the help.

    Re: HID Kit

H7 bulb type for B6 low/high beams. (if your current low beam is halogeon)

I bought my aftermarket Digital Ballast HID kit for $130 from craigslist.
the seller also provide 1 yr warranty.
You might want to check your local craigslist if you wanna HID kit for around $100.

just a quick note (very important):
when you install the ballast on driver's side, BETTER place the ballast on driver side as far as much away from the ABS module. (don't put the ballast under driver's side's headlight assembly. some people place it under front bumper or fender. For passenger it is fine.
There's a common known problem when you place ballast too near the ABS Module that you get (ABS+ESP+Flashing e-brake lights) when you switch HID on.
not everyone has this issue, but a lot of them do.

    Re: HID Kit

ddmtuning.com and vvme.com are common sites that sell cheap alternatives to some of the more expensive kits out there, the ddmtuning ones even come with a lifetime warranty. but if you search this you will find out a few things, some people have problems with the cheap stuff warranting others to tell you "you get what you pay for" and others that say they have not had any problems at all. ultimately its your call and all i can say is good luck with whatever you choose!

Instead of ricing up a fine, German sedan, consider buying the appropriate headlight housings that were designed for HID use. Why? Read this: http://www.danielsternlighting.com/t...nversions.html
