Do good lifters spring, or sit still? I pulled all my intake lifters, and some are springs and some dont move at all when you press on them. i couldnt find much info on the interweb.

    Re: bad vs good lifters?

All depends on how much oil is in them, they could be compressible, or feel "solid".

Why have you pulled them - are they noisy in operation?

I will agree Siena, the lifter springs should not be able to be compressed by hand. A lot more force is required to compress them.

    How many miles?
