    Another wiper question

Winter is coming, I'm planning on replacing my wipers. Is there any aero style wiper that will fit our car. I saw someone sells similar style on e-bay (UK). Has anybody tried it, or the ECS one is the only option? Thanks

Bosch icon is as close as you get without spending a fortune.. They have a clip that covers the end ofthe arm so it simulates the high-end look and they work flawlessly. They go for about $22 a pop. My last ones lasted me almost a year.

Dang, one year? I thought Aero blades were supposed to last a lot longer than that.

In SoCal they'll probably dry rot before they wear out. Id have to guess you would get 2-3 years... in the northeast its 1-1.5 years in my experience.

I live in VA, the combination of 20-40degree winters and 100+ degree summers does lots of damage not to mention lots of rain anyway. They probaly could have lasted another month or two if you want to rag them out.. but they had began to streak after about a year. which means time to replace for me. I wouldn't think OEM aero blades would be much different or last significantly longer since the blade is probably made from the same kind of material. Wiper blades are cheap enough to be able to replace every year anyway.

Yup, that's what happened to my last set of blades, came right off one day when I was using them (I definitely let them go a little too long). Lasted about 3 years. Wow, I didn't realize the cold weather had that much of an affect on the blades. Are there any type of synthetic instead of rubber blades that would last longer?

    nope..

it's not just the material, the design of the wipers means they loose their tension over time. You don't want the material to be too hard anyway, otherwise you risk scratching up the glass.
