horrible beeping noise!!!

my car was in an accident. not sure what happened, not sure how it was fixed. ( bought after the accident)

i assume that something is not lined up correctly because every time the car is started, a beeping noise starts.

its the type of beeping when the door is not closed

whats worse is when the headlights are turned on, the beeping now turns into a constant beeeeeeeep. as if the car is flat lineing. this continues for 5 mins before it dies to a steady beep...beep....beep....beep for another min.


- i really just want to disarm this.

maybe i can take out the fuse that causes this?- but i dont know where to start

maybe the sensor that recognizes if the door is shut or open isnt working properly

yeah thats probably definitely the door contact switch. On a normal a4 with the headlights on when you open the door you get a steady beep. might new a new one or it was mangled in the accident..idk never messed with it before

You know, I have a similar situation. When I start my car I get three beeps, but then it goes away. Not sure if this is normal but I think maybe it started after I crashed my car also it wasn't too bad just a few arms in the front drivers side where damaged but the door started to sag or drop... whatever but I had it fixed but there is still that noise when I start the car.
