    Getting satellite radio

Hey all, I'm looking at getting a sirius radio. I have the phatnoise but it's just a pain in the arse to upload new songs, playlists, etc etc. And I like having randomness for songs.

Anyway, I was seeing how I could get this setup nice and clean. The only thing I've found that I like is getting the SC-FM1 (starbase FM tuner). I'd mount the unit in the Cd changer/phatnoise spot along with this:

This way it's a good signal and direct to the head unit. Then running the control unit up just below the center vents.

My question, would this work well? Is there better/cheaper options? It's hard to find that starbase unit (seems to be discontinued and out of stock everywhere...but I found one site with it). I thought about getting a dock setup but I don't want to deal with 3 cables sticking out of a dock in the center of the car, then splicing into the sense/12/ground lines and running a bunch of wires to the trunk. (not to mention I don't think it would look that good with a dock and control unit sticking out of the dash).

    Re: Getting satellite radio

    hm.....

i used to have XM radio on my car too

i use fm transmitter mounted on the antenna port which located on the back of the head unit and you will have a wire connect between antenna port to your XM radio (this is your signal cable.....you will also have an antenna wire connect to your XM radio too....).
the only problem is the sound quality....... since your signal is come through your antenna port instead of direct sound signal port, your sound quality will decrease by using that.....

I just have my sirius set up for fm transmission. Not the best, but easy. Either way satellite radio kicks ass!
