Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I have the flange unbolted and how the hell do i get the bottom hose off i released the clip and it will not come off, my arms and body hurt and this is taking way too long i have way over 5 hours already into this damn thing. Also the hose that is on the right side of the flange how does that come off. I'm about ready to tow my car to the dealer and pay there prices to get it fixed, please help me. I am in the process of doing the timing belt and figured do this also and wow did this turn into a bad idea.

Re: Rear COolant Flange HELP NEEDED

Yep, they are a bitch to do. The coolant hose: remove clip, and pull like a Mother F****** because there is an o-ring in there so its probably pretty good and stuck. The coolant temp sender on the other side is the same thing, has an o-ring and can be a major pain. I recommend replacing both the o-rings man, because i thought i had a bad flange so when i replaced it i found out only the coolant temp sender o-ring was crapped out... but i feel a little better knowing that wont give me any more problems in the near future.

Not much help, but my hoses came off the flange fairly easily.

I use my microwave to heat up 2-3 cups/containers of water for my sturborn hose issues under the hood. I either soak or pour a steady stream over the hose. Just be aware of where u are pouring. Works like a charm every time.

Re: Rear COolant Flange HELP NEEDED

finally got it done, i will never want to do that again. Now i have another question, what is the part no of the hose that goes down from the 3-way. That got cracked in the process it's $86 at the dealer and i'm sure i can get it cheaper somewhere.

    thanks.

pay a mechanic, it's well worth it. I looked through the site already too and i can't find it i guess i'll just go to the dealer andask them for the part no. and order it from that site.
