just saw this thread, i emailed the guy consecutive times on ebay and im getting absolutely no where...he said he got the pictures off of his camera and that is not my car (like i dont know my own fucking car) this was his 2nd and 3rd response to me yesterday:

As much as it pains me to not completley flame the shit out of this D-bag who is pirating your pics, VDub.....but unless you copyrighted those pictures, they're on a public forum and I'm pretty sure can be used/copied.

Also, from the sound of his replies, it's not gonna be an easy process to get them pulled. If I were you I wouldn't worry, because it's unlikely any harm will come of a few shots of your car being used in an auction. If anything, persisting with this guy might bring more harm than good. They were probably used because your car looks great, so you can at least partially take it as a compliment; not to mention, from what I've seen there aren't any shots that have your license plate or enough of your house to tell where you live. It's an extreme longshot that anything will come of this, I think.

My advice is to let it go, don't get your blood pressure up about it, and focus on other stuff like ur sick ride.

It's certainly easiest just to let it go, but you don't actually have to register a copyright. Any creative work you generate is automatically copyrighted by you under international copyright law, which is recognized in the US.

+1000! this is exatly what i would do is fuck his little operatoin up the best i could. i personally wouldnt really care about the pictures, but after seeing his response and how the guy is acting like a complete douche i would want to go out of my way to make shit extra difficult for him..

i would create an account and just keep buying his stuff and never pay so he has to keep relisting the items and crap like that.. when someone buys your item on ebay and doesnt pay its a huge pain in the ass
