im going to say no, just because they aren't even bringing the s4 avant over. Audi says that S and RS Avant sales just aren't high enough.

The only option you have for Avants now is the B8 A4 with a Tiptronic transmissioin.

As for the B8 RS4 - I don't think there will be one. I think it'll be a B9 IIRC.

which is a damn share b/c i would have put a deposit down yesterday om one which was totally loaded: 2.0t, quattro, prestige, s-line, drive select, adaptive cruise control, nav+ w/ rear view camera... except it was tiptronic...

I think it is a serious mistake on Audi's part not to bring over the S4 and RS4 Avant or make more choices available on the A4. With the recent gas spike people are moving away from SUV's big time even though gas has fallen. This change in attitudes for American buyers is perfect for Audi with their heritage.

they only sold 200 s4 avants in the US last year, it sucks, but i can't say i blame them. The cost to federalize would not be worth it. ghey.

they had originally said that we would not see a B8 avant in the US but have since changed their mind on that and I have personally seen them at dealerships. if they sell a bunch then they will consider selling more and future models here. i know i will likely get a B8 avant in the future especially if that new porsche/S4 S-tronic transmission or tdi engine shows up!

But NO RS4 Avant.

And the Porsche s-tronic is no comparison the the Audi DSG. I've driven a C4 tronic: it could grunt like a rhino, but it was slow shifting.
