Clear corner and custom cap mod complete with PICS

Well after 3 days of hell, I finally completed the clear corner and custom cap mod. I always hated the look of the typical clear corner mod. It just seemed unfinished, so I decided to make a little accent on the corners. It was not a simple snap in like I anticipated. It required the complete disassembly of the housings and needed to be epoxied in place from the back side.

I was able to locate a set of damaged B6 Euro housings for the donor parts. (By the way, these leftover housings are now for sale in the classifieds if you want to use the Euro spec Xenon projectors and/or leveling motors for a project). The caps had issues with the chrome peeling, so I sanded them down and repainted to the dark metalic color to match the insides of the housings.

I may make some adjustments in the future, but I'll keep it the way it is for now. If I had to do it again it would take a few hours overall, but it was a grueling couple days experimenting (tried a couple different colors).

Jens is the only other person I know of who did this exact mod, although Bryson has some sick creations. Thanks for the idea Jens!

That looks really good! That's the only way I would do a CC mod too. I hate how the car looks without a lens over the bulb. It just looks really cheap.

I thought so to but my stock suspension doesn't look quite that tall although it is the same car. What set up is that? I am doing pro-kit with 10mm front spacers and 15mm rears. Does it rub at all?

That's because the picture is taken from a lower to the ground point of view compared to when you walk up to your car. I thought my non sport suspension a4 wasn't that bad in person until I took some pics .
I'm glad I have coilovers now, my car looked funny.

If you take your time and spray the chrome inlets the B7 cc housings look incredibly OEM-ish (please compare with my B6 S4 bixenon ecodes):

So the B6 e-code clear caps require custom fab/painting and B7 ones are a direct replacement for the US ones except they're clear?

There's no way I'm going through the effort of doing the CC mod without a clear cap to slap on before I put it all back together!

how did you get the plastic inside the headlights (B7) apart? I've removed four T15 screws but it still seems like it's connected above the blinker area...
