so i am going from a 19 to a 18..what are your thoughts?

i just placed an order on a new set of wheels. i loved my ch's soo much but i think a 19 was a bit big. i went with an 18x8.5 with an ET of 35. has anyone on here went from a 19 to an 18? regret it? i just cant run the rubber i want on a 19

i have 18s now.. and i will prolly never go back to 19's unless its a SICK SICK SICK set of wheels. that being said. stick with 18's and i promise you will love them. =) and if your low.. they look the same.

thanks, i hope your right. i think i am doing the right thing. rubber is key and i wanted something fully forged. now i just need to sell my ch's before the new ones are done being made

Never done that, but I've been with my 18s for a while and they look great and I can't be happier! Cheaper tires too

^^^ agree with you... 19's are not big.. i like twenty on our cars... (only akescoo and tony can pull them off) but as far performance kind of look/feel. i dont know maybe its psychological with me.. but with 18's i feel more daring and i feel my car handles better. maybe its all just my head. =)

I think you'll be more than happy with the 18's. They pretty much look just as good but ride a lot smoother. Don't get me wrong though, I'm not raggin' on 19's. If my car was more of a show car and not my daily driver, I'd have 19's on it for sure.

I use the car as a Daily Driver, not a show car. My city has pretty crappy roads. Yes i agree i was very scared of the ride quality before i dropped the money on the 19s but i felt 18s were too small for this car so i put "SHOW BEFORE GO". My car isnt that fast so i can roll slow in the 19s and look good. If i wanted performance i wouldve went for 18s.

Go with 18's if your looking for performance, 19's perform well too but you get more tire on an 18!

Went from 19s to 20s and now I own a set of 18s as well.

I needed something for long distance cruises as the 20s just don't offer enough room for error.

the way i see it is the car came stock with 17's and 18's as an option. 18's are really the correct size to go with. yes you can run 19's and 20's however i think larger wheels look dumb. the best and most agressive look to me is a nice quality wheel with a fat tire.

I am on 18's for the winter and I sure do miss my twinkies . Taking a long walk to the back of the parking lot and staring at my car just isn't the same. Can't wait til May (might havd esome different20's for the beginning of the season ). The ride is nice because I don't have to watch for anything in the roads because like Winston said, 20's don't offer much room for error. Other than that, bigger is better.

He has the same diameter wheels all around (18's). They're just wider in the back is all.
