Rough cold start(searched)

Well I woke up this morning and it was about 29 degrees when I got to my car to leave for school. Anyway when I started it up, it didn't go to 1100 rpms to warm up like it usually does, and the idle was a little bit rough, went above 1100 for a second or 2, then below and it got a little weak and I gave it some gas and then it was fine. It was a little shaky and weird sounding when it was rough. Never happened before, and I had no problems after the car warmed up. Anyway, I have a new job that I absolutely can't miss if something goes wrong with my car, also court next week I can't miss due to a bad start. Plus all winter I dont want to be worrying. So anyway I think it's either coil packs or spark plugs? Well the car starts fine, its just the idle so maybe the coilpacks are on the way out. 92,xxx on the dash so obviously its possible. Just wanna confirm, and also what are those replacement packs everyone gets? some japanese name i think....

In my case driving the car above 5000 RPM will always fail a CP if that CP is about to fail.

If you have VAG, scan it while you are starting/warming it up in the morning. I will let the rest for the pros to help.

maybe it's your spark plugs that don't like the 29 degree weather

just had to replace 2 of mine, around this time of year the coilpacks start to go. I just got the OEM ones from the dealer for 38.40 a piece. And I believe you are talking about the hetachi e coil packs which i think run in the high 50's to low 60's not sure if I spelled it right though

Being up in the North Country, sometimes idle is a little rough too. Anyways, I don't think you should be worried about it...

Happens everytime I start my car in cold weather. Just let the idle settle or the temp needle come off cold.

Well I dont have aftermarket spark plugs so idk if that would make it less likely to be them. To sphinx, yes the Hitachi's are what i was talking about, thanks. Its not that I'm worried, I just dont want to be going to work, school (or court) one cold morning and turn the key and after a few seconds of the car being on start cursing because a CP or something went wrong lol. Because I know I wont be making it where I have to be in time which is no good lol.
