Sunroof randomly going up and down......

Anyone else experience this???

While driving the sunroof will pop up, then close... all by itself... It doesn't slide back and open, just up and down.

Bad switch???

The contacts in the switch are dusty or need adjustment. There's a DIY for it, it's common.

Mine has done this a once as well.

I hadn't used my sunroof in more than a week, driving on the highway, it popped up then down a couple times the same instant it started to drizzle. Maybe some strange reaction to charge in the air as I drove into a storm? Maybe just a coincidence? In any case it was strange that it happened the second the drizzle started, I hadn't even switched my wipers on yet.

It's the only time it has ever happened, but I'm glad that there is a DIY for a fix.

yes I do.. I did this using the audiworld one as a guide and wrote it up myself with some extra bits of info

ah yes the spontaneous venting, actually our cars have highly sensitive CO2 and CO sensors, so if the levels get too high it automatically vents to get you more Air and keep you from getting gassed and sleepy. causes of increased CO2 levels can include talkative females in the passenger area.

Is that actually true? Is it actually venting CO2 from the car or is this a joke? haha. I thought it might have been from air pressure or something but a lot of people say its a problem.

its a joke...I think, Im lazy and don't feel like doing the DIY so im convincing myself its a totally james bond feature haha
