My wife drives the audi,
2003 A4 3.0, quattro
sport package, 29k miles
I have an M3 (csl susp) and 325i (m3 susp). The audi is way smoother over the road, but very floaty. My wife doesn't mind it much, but drives me crazy. My cars are too tight for her, ride quality.
I'm thinking the stock sport springs are probably adequate and just add some bilstein sport shocks/struts to complete the package. I'm looking for a trade off of decent on road, soak up the bumps, but better handling.
How much stiffer are the aftermarket springs?
This will never be a track car; not concerned about dropping more for aesthetics. It's a commuter/highway car that we use preferentially over the winter [means i drive it more often on trips, bad weather etc]
so question is...goal of better handling, but preserving decent ride
1. bilstein shocks plus aftermarket springs
2. bilstein shocks with stock sport springs
I don't want to just do shocks, install them, do an alignment and soon after decide i need springs too...
