Bay area need advice

So, me, my gf, her sis and bf are going to SF from Jan 8-13 and just need some ideas of what to do while we're in town. We got some touristy stuff that we wanna do, but I want to fit in some local stuff. Where do you guys go to party? Clubs, bars, random fun stuff to do. Whatever you think is fun, let me know.

a lot of clubs on Broadway, meaning not strip clubs just dance clubs, Atmosphere, Sutra, Apartment 24.....

The Marina isn't too bad (Anywhere off Lombard headed to the GG) All the bars there are within walking distance from each other. Monaghan's, Eastside West, KT's, The Horseshoe, Circa, Cityside, Bus Stop, Barnone & Notte are all pretty decent places to go.

North Beach is pretty good too. Savoy is a good spot.

More importantly, good to see some other people from Massachusetts out here to visit!

if you're not scared, go to the mission street/district during the day. Best local mexican foods! don't go there at night unless you know the area well.

Check out Haight St. Some good urban clothing stores there like RVCA
Also Exploritorium is pretty interesting for a afternoon

Hey guys,

Thanks for all the great ideas!! I am not renting a car, I will be staying at the Hotel Kabuki in Jtown and we are just going to use the public transportation. I think that we will mostly trying to hit lounges and bars, maybe a club one night.

I like to shop at local boutiques and stuff where I can score some stylish threads that you can't find anywhere. We have some pretty good shops here in Boston, but I like rocking different shit.

I just discovered Club Vessel in Union Square last week. I dunno how the rest of you guys feel about that place (and I say that because I read a lot of mixed reviews online), but I had a great time. Wednesdays there's no cover, and 2 for 1 drinks all night. Check out some of the pics on their site.

If you like house music the best club in the city by far is Ruby Skye on Mason. Its really close to union square which is also a nice place to go during the day.

If your more into the Bar scene Union Street is pretty tight, Bar None (has beer pong), East Side West, City Tavern and Blue Triangle are some of my favorites.

The new ferry building is really nice and its right on the water. The new academy of science by the presedio is also a place you have to checkout out,
