Poll on paint job.

Ok so i its soon time for me to paint my car. i have some body work i need done and i had to repaint my fenders due to PO damage last winter and the color just doesnt seem to have the same value as the rest of the car. You can tell it was painted at different times. I have been wrestling around with several ideas on what color to paint it. im going to be painting the roof black, i have a cf hood and gunmetal b7 rs4 reps.

right now my top pick would be Glut Orange off the new rs4s


i think it would be pretty sick. plus it would set me apart... my only worry is the police in my area can be dbags and ive been pulled over for no real reason on a few occasions, just hasseled really but annoying none the less. orange i know would make me stick out there too. but it could be awesome.

I have always been partial to white b5's id want to go casablanca and not pearl if i did.

I also like the matte grey look but i think it could get old. but its still an option in my head.

i also noticed laser red is getting harder and harder to come by.... and i think it would be nice to see a fresh red a4 in my driveway.

unless your gonna do under the hood and door jambs, respray. if you are getting jams etc. done id say some kinda of matte color.

the matte gray...it definitely grows on you, plus a lot more cars are seen in the white, silver, red. Orange not as common but theres probably a handful of matte grey b5's

Having a white car, I can confidently say.

Do not go white. Biggest PITA to keep clean. One little dirty hand print and it looks like crap.

Yes, Inca Orange Pearl.

Very rare - Audi only used it for about 18 months, on the last of the B4 Coupe / Coupe quattro in Europe.

It was one of Audi's Lifestyle Colors.

I'm biased though, Inca Orange with a black roof looks great, reason I chose it for my B5.

I matched the pearl by going for a pearl black roof too.

The RS4 pictured above isn't Laser Red.

It's Misano Red, and a lot deeper than Laser, Laser has a hint of orange in it.

I like the orange and the matte gray. If you choose between those 2, its almost like do you want to stand out(orange) or keep a low profile(matte gray)

For some reason, (aside from Aliel's car), I think the matte grey should be saved for a widebody....I personally think it looks better with wider fenders....i dunno why, I just do....OR if you've got extensive body customization, like Aliel does....it's still a really great color (its actually my dream respray color, but a lil smokier), but I would go with white for your car. I think the orange would be a bit too "loud" of a color for the car. The red would be decent too

ok thanks alot for those pics siena. is there anyone who thinks they could either a) photoshop my car to be the same color as the glut orange rs4 in the first pic.... or b) photoshop sienas to have gunmetal rims? i really do like the orange idea. i really like this color orange. but i think its custom.

i have matte grey and i love it. just be careful, its a scratch magnet without a clear coat.
the tinted clear coat is an awesome idea
