Do you have the mirror package where your passenger side mirror tilts down when you put the car in reverse to aid in parallel parking? If so, it could be something to do with that.

I believe with the memory seats the mirrors adjust too, I'm assuming you have them set like that, try resetting the seats; that is if you have memory seats.

    Re: Side Mirrors

Put the mirror lever pointed at the right/passenger side mirror. Then shift into reverse. If it goes down you have the auto adjust. Mine messes up to sometimes when I hit the memory button it just keeps adjusting down. However on startup it shouldn't move down.

    Re: Side Mirrors

I have the same problem... Can you do me a favor and go out to your car, make sure that the knob to adjust the passenger mirror is pointing to the passenger mirror and put the car in reverse. Then aim the mirror down as far as it can go... then put the car in drive and drive over 10 MPH Go 20 just to make sure.. NOTE: if the mirror goes back up to its original position before you did anything. Then if it DOES then you have the automatic mirrors like I have. They came standard on the 3.0L packages. If it does adjust, then you have the same problem as me and I am going to get a solution for us..

Reason why I think it does this is because when you put your car from DRIVE to PARK it hits the REVERSE signal and alters the position of the mirror.

    Let me know.

    Re: Side Mirrors

If you have the mirror adjust knob set on the passenger mirror, the right side mirror is supposed to tilt down in reverse to give you a view of the curb when backing up. This is for cars with seat memory. I did this mod to my 1.8T, but this feature is standard on a lot of 3.0, std on S4.

The mirror creep seems to be a problem with this system. For some reason the mirror doesn't want to return to the exact memory position set when the car is in drive. You can either hit your memory seat button to reset the mirror, or change the mirror adjust knob to the left or center postion on the switch.
