WTF!!!!

I recently bought this s4 the shock and struts went bad and the car seemed like it got lower on its own. So i changed all four of the struts and shocks. The car still seems unusually low 1 finger space in the front and two in the back between wheel and fender. Is this bad or ok? And could the springs have gone bad? And even the i changed my struts i still get squeaking over bumps what could it be?

It *might* (heavy stress on 'might') be the control arms.

It's either the flux capacitor or control arms. You should check the flux capacitor first, as it's a much easier check before you move to control arms.

pretty good chance of it being control arms... if not, it could the the muffler bearings, possibly too much blinker fluid weighin you down

I've seen this happen many times in higher milage s4's. What happens is the fluid in the control arms begins to break down and causes the seals in your thrust bearings to fail. An easy fix would be just to replace all fluid and seals, then reinstall. Look in a bently manual under thrust bearing fluid replacement, and good luck.

lol at the replies, but on a serious note, when tightening the pinch bolts for the control arms, ensure the suspension is compressed as it naturally would be.

If you tighten it up when the suspension is extended the bushings bind when you lower it back down.

BTW, OP. Sounds like you put to much blinker fluid and the weight caused the car to lower

I think a new set of headers would do the trick. Or its not as common, but your diverter valves might need to be replaced. I would go with a nice set of blow off valves. There are a nice upgrade(about 30 or 40 more awhp) and i think they would fix your problem.
