    S-line badge placement (doors)

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I have some s-line badges that i want to put on the rear door moldings of my B6. Can any of you B7 guys take a quick measurement and let me know where exactly OEM placement is? I'm looking for the dimension from the end of the door molding (closest to the rear wheel) to the start (front) of the badge. I want to get the badge placement as close to factory as possible. Thanks for your help fellas!

    Re: S-line badge placement (doors)

Its kind of awkward to measure because the end of the door blade is diagonal, but measuring from the middle of that diagonal to the start of the badge is 1 7/8" and 4 5/8" to the end of the badge.

    Hope this helps

What about the trunk badge? I can't find an image of that anywhere. Does the factory sline come with a trunk badge?

    Thanks

there is no sline badge on the trunk, just the grille and side moldings.

Perfect, that would explain the lack of images. Lots of auctions on ebay selling aline badges.

If I may ask, why are you putting these badges on? I think the 3rd day I owned the car I took those off.

Sorry Matt, looks like I've deleted it from my computer. I'll try to recreate it from memory and an old pic though.

The greenish line would be the 1 7/8" and the orange line would be the 4 5/8", though make sure you're measuring both from the middle of the side blade diagonal to the middle (height wise) of the badge. I.e. the green line will moved slightly higher towards the orange line in real life, I just wanted to make sure it showed up in the picture so I left some space between them.
