do i have a blown coilover? please help me

i started getting a rattle noise and a knock from my front driver side wheel. i took it in and was told i needed upper control arms. after getting those replaced and still having the rattle, needless to say i was pretty mad. he took it for a drive and said he thinks its the coilover. i dont think it is cause when i go over bumps its not like the car wobbles or anything. the wheel rattles and the steering wheel kinda jerks. almost feels like the wheel is loose, but i know its on tight. what do you think? i really hope its somethin else like an axle or tie rod or somethin

I doubt it's your coilover.

Sounds more like a top mount issue to me, though I'd have thought your shop would have spotted that during the tear down.

I have the same problem on my Z28 and its a blown shock.
