New Seats

I just pulled these seats outta my buddies gti since he totaled it and I am deciding whether or not to put them in my car. I might do it in summer since there is no power or heat in them, let me know you guys think about them

Seats are awesome, but you're going to throw codes because they won't have the same airbags/lumbar connections.

i am gonna try to find a way to clear codes since i have a code deleter, i can plug it in and leave it on a cycle to clear certain codes, so it should be fine

Those will definitely hold you a lot better than the stock A4 seats. I slide around so much in my car even on the highway.

I don't think you'll throw any codes besides having your airbag light on... and vagcom's not going to help... im speaking from personal experience, my airbag lights been on for more then a year now..you just learn to live with it =D

don't mean to rain on the parade but it's illegal if it stops your airbags from deploying in case of an accident. And if it affects how your airbags function then your insurance company will f*ck you over on paying for any damages.

no one is certain if the airbag will deploy, i have mixed opinions from audi techs to local tuners to bodyshop owners telling me different things...
my tuner and bodyshop both tells me they will deploy from past experience, while only some techs believe they will deploy..
I personally feel that it will work this way, becuase if a plug comes lose and your light comes on...you won't instantly be able to clear the code even after you fix the plug, it would be unsafe for Audi to make airbags to only work if all were plugged in...this was also what the bodyshop told me...airbags have independent triggers, and should not be unaffected

but i agree the insurance company may screw you over if you get into an accident

what you should also be looking for besides seat rails is a bracket for you to mount your seats.. i don't think your original one will fit

it looks crooked, because i took the leather, backing off to see if i could put seat heaters, i jut had to re align it and now its better

in a VW ok but in the Audi when you lose all the nice features i would say no...if i were to change seats i would do it for the S4 seats imo...sporty, comfy, oem and you dont lose the features
