Oil Sensor Light

A warning showed up on my console today. i've never seen it before, and i i lost my VAG COM connectors.... so hopefully someone can help:

the warning has the oil symbol and says 'SENSOR' next to it. is it referring to the oil pressure sensor on the oil pan?

the oil level is normal, and i have about 3500 miles on the current oil. other than that, the car sounds and feels normal

There is an oil sensor on the bottom of the oil pan. Its easy to replace, you will have to drain the oil though.

i suppose it gives me a good reason to change the oil, right? thanks man..

I'm having this same light. is this something I should replace immediately or can it wait til my next oil change? as i just changed my oil two weeks ago...

Make sure the cable is is not sliced or anything.. I remember I got that message when I was under warranty and Dealer told me they wont cover it because a rodent got in/on it and chewed the cable..
