Heated Steering Wheel on B7 S4???

What about heated mirrors? I bought my car in the spring and it just became glaringly apparent to me this week that I don't have that option.

IIRC heated mirrors were standard on all B6/B7 S4s - but they only operate when the ambient temperature is below 12 Celsius and only when you turn on the heated rear window.

MAN I wish my wheel was heated. Test drove an X5 last week...heated wheel. WTF!

Mercedes GL aka Pimp Wagon has heated steering wheel too. I love it.

PS. I think almost all of the A/S4s have heated mirrors, but they only turn on with the rear defroster (or maybe front, one or the other. i live in LA, so I don't have to know.) i'm pretty sure.

i swapped an A8 heated wheel in my B6 S4, my steering wheel module supports heated wheels, but my clockspring does not, i'm trying to find one that does (it has the connector for it, just no pins in the connector)

Yes I have an A4 and I doubt the A4 system heating is different from the S4 system.

When you switch on the rear defroster, the outside mirrors heat up. We Canadians know such things.

Not really, just a few typical BMW issues like leaky steering pump, sweaky steering column, doors that won't lock, etc....

wellll.... the system is drastically different if your car doesn't have heated mirrors.

That guy was referring to S4's ALL having heated mirrors, but I was reminding him that you don't have an S4, so you don't necessarily have the heated mirrors.

Even if he doesn't have an S4 I've seen loads of posts where people with an A4 have found that the wiring goes right through to the mirror, so to get heated mirrors all you need to do is replace the mirror glass and connect up the wires.
