Will my Vag-com cable work on an 03 Jetta TDI?

I just got a message from a guy on "vag tool locator" asking if my cable would work for his 03 Jetta TDI with the newer can bus. I think to just check codes and clear them. I have an ebay cable and the full version of vag-com 311.2.

Will my cable work?

Just read the ebay cables page and it says that it will only work with non-can-bus vehicles.

If anyone thinks differently please reply
