Air Filter was way over due for my baby

Had this filter when I got the car with 47k, and it just hit 65k... Who knows how long this filter has been in there, but it was black.. (the pics are AFTER I hit it on the wall of my house for 2 min!)

Now its got a drop in K&N and loves it... The take-off is soooo smooth!

ya i know... when I got the car the Service light was on, and I did an immediate oil + filter change along with fuel filter (it was making noise). When I went to my auto parts store they gave me the KN filter 2206 NOT the 2209 so when i tried to install it, it didnt work... and so I hit the filter a couple times against the floor, used a brush to get the dirt out of it and put it back in... Finally I decided since I am investing so much into this car, it would be stupid to not put in a basic thing like a new filter... lol
