M3 lip is too long?

My friend test fit an OEM M3 lip spoiler on my trunk lid and he said it was too long.

I thought these were a direct fit?

yea, we ended up having a really dissapointing season. I have to give props to tech and my boy jon dywer, I played in highschool with him. He started as a freshman when I was a jr, and hes only a sophomore now and tearing it up....leading rusher in the acc and also a pontiac game changing performance nominee this week.

better luck next year i guess.

Wait a minute... Your friend test fit it on your car, but weren't you there to see it too??

FWIW you have to heat up the OEM M3 lip a little so you can bow it properly to fit the trunk. It's usually just enough to make it fit within the edges.

Read the DIY link posted above. You have to slightly bow it to get it to fit right, no need to heat it. I have an OEM M3 lip on mine as well, sits fine. Although I don't have a closeup shot of it, you can see in this pic that it doesn't go past the trunk lines...
