I need AZ's help on this one

Ok so, the douchebag dealer i got my car from wont help me for shit, so i need your help.

the floor behind the DRIVER's seat is filling with water every time it rains. Even if i dont run the car, it gets soaked.

I drove it today to get gas/take it to the dealer guy, and when i got there it was an INCH deep. I took the back seat off, and theres water trickling from where the seatbelts come out down towards the floors, but the main problem is the floor behind drivers seat.

I have NO idea what is causing this. Where is it coming from?

HEEEELLLLP! before the car is ruined!

it may be coming from the rubber seal/molding that surrounds the door frame. when did u get the car? is it still under warranty?

Do you have a sunroof...check the drains. Open the roof & clean all the junk out of the space and clean the drains. Also check seals on windows but I bet its the drains.

I had an issue with the hood release cable grommet, but it didn't leak that fast. You have to have a BIG hole or problem to have it fill up that quick.

Definitely check the sunroof drains, otherwise it's possible that the drain tube wasn't put back correctly if the C-pillar cover was off.

Has the back window been replaced or any body damage to the driver's rear of the car?

i've had that happen in my nova because the trunk seals were bad and it was going through the trunk lid drains into the trunk under the back seat and onto the floor, might be another thing to check, maybe do a self test with a hose and check each spot to see if any water accumulates after putting water on it.

Its not the hood release grommet, i sealed that up the other day.

Does the b5 a4 have trunk drains? I looked today and it appears it is designed to drain out, and there are no holes.

I'm going to take an air compressor and blow air through the sunroof drains as soon as it stops pouring out.

I'm also gonna check the battery drain, although i replaced my battery a few months ago and it was good.

Does the b5 a4 share the sunroof drain design with the MKIV ?

yeah im going with the sunroof... the sunroof drains have a hose that go to the drivers side trunk, by where the widow maker kit is. the hose is probably disconnected from the grommet that goes out or it is clogged and making the water go through the headliner

Well, there is no water in my trunk though... I checked that.

But i did take out my battery, and the drain under it was covered in leaves/pine needles. I cleared it out, and sprayed my car down with the hose, and everything seemed legit.

The only way to tell is for it to rain again though!

I checked the base of every pillar as well, and it seems it isnt coming from the sunroof drains. If they were clogged im sure there would be SOME moisture on the headliner.

Where exactly does it drain in the trunk?
isnt it behind the rear wheel?

yeah behind the rear wheel but it goes through the inside of the cabin... right by where the cd changer would be if you have one. behind it you'll see the hose.
