i asked this within a different thread, so maybe the right guys didnt see it..
fusetapped my V1 and now want to add the remote display in my ashtray.
i am too lazy to remove my ac/nav so i drilled a hole in the
back of the ashtray to try to fish a wire to the driver side footwell.

i have tried digging around with wire hanger to no avail.
has anyone been able to fish a wire thru without pulling parts?
    thank you.
    john.

you will save yourself time by just taking out the radio etc and doing it that way. I would also take off the piece under the steering wheel. This is where i put my v1 display:
