    Need opinions on Fog/LED Project!

    hey guys,

I want to have some more lighting on the front of my A4. I have the RS4 rep, so that can kinda give you an idea about my car. I want to do the DDM HID kit, but here are my other options.

    1. Single DDM HID Kit in headlights
    2. Single DDM HID Kit w/ LED strip Mod
    3. Single DDM HID Kit and a DDM Kit in Aftermarket fogs
    4. Double DDM Kit with one set of bulbs in the Headlights and one set in the bottom grille in a custom lamp serving as Fogs.

NEED OPINION : Im basicly caught between getting 'real' fogs put in, or having the choice to make my own fogs using the superflux 4chip LED's. If i really dont like the way that the 'strip' or 'line of led's' is comin out then i can just group them together so that they form the projection shape of a true 'fog light'.

QUESTION : Also, it would be silly to buy aftermarket 'fogs' just stuff a DDM kit in there, right? Im thinking that if i just decide to go regular fogs ill make a custom lamp for the fogs and just buy 2 kits from DDM.

QUESTION : If i want to do my high and low headlights with HID i need 2 kits correct?

Just want to know what you guys think about everything.

For main beams to be HID, yes you'll need a seperate HID kit.

Note you'll have issues with being able to flash other drivers - the igniters don't allow the xenon bulbs to react as quickly as conventional halogens.

The igniters also don't cope well with rapid cycling, and there have been failures due to flash warnings.

As for foglamps, I like the OEM units, and wouldn't replace them with LED's. I also don't see the need to fit HID's to them - they're not driving lamps, they're intended for use in fog. If they're too "white", the returning glare against thick fog would blind you.
