3000k HID bulbs in the fogs

Well I had a problem with the 4300K bulbs I had in my fogs. The driver side would always turn on, but the passenger side took 4-5 cycles before it would stay on. After some testing with spare bulbs I had around I figured that the bulb was bad not the ballast, and ordered a set of 3000K's. I had them on my IS300 and always enjoyed the look. I have to say without a doubt that this is the right color to put in your fogs. I put them in last night and was amazed at how much of the road was lit up compared to the 4300k's. Tonight it was sleeting here in Chicago and WOW, the road was lit up like I have never seen in bad weather. I am lucky to have the projectors inside of the fogs on the 4.2 so I did the HID thing a few months back. They dramatically improved my output and I have never been flashed by anyone. The new bulbs put the old ones performance to shame, and I highly recommend this to anyone that is looking new fog bulbs, HID or halogen. Some pics...

If you are just swapping in halogens, then no. If you are swapping in HID's, then yes. You have to mount the ballast which isn't that bad. The HID bulb is and H3 and is longer than a regular H3 bulb. So I had to cut out and 1" hole on the back of the foglight housing with a hole saw. That didn't matter to me though since the HID had a rubber grommet to plug it nicely. I'll try to get a pic of exactly what I am talking about later today.
