    my fuel pump gave up - and now i need a new one any tips on installing the thing

    real easy to do...bout an hour-you need a soldering iron, phillips screwdriver, a punch and a rubber mallot and a flat head, and the rest is easy

    i read that you need to make a gasket of some sort because the walbro one is a bit smaller then stock

    make sure you have about a cup of fuel in your tank

    Use the SEARCH button, there is alot of good info on the forums here about the Walbro install.
    I do work around the South East on your 1.8t or 2.7t, PM for more info

    Why don't you hook it back up when you get your car back up?

    You can't do it with fuel in your tank.

    well if my car can't move because of a fuel pump failure - then i can't drive it around to get the fuel level low - unless i start siphoning gas out of the tank

    you can do it with fuel in your tank its easy as pie and i suck at working on cars....lol
